***龙年 Year of Dragon 2024/25 Dim sum Rat European AWARD for Best yum cha service*** Yum cha restaurant in long narrow space in Bloomsbury. There is often a wait for a table - it is worth it and they will tell how long. You can wait in the hallway or outside in summer. Atmosphere and service transports the Rat back to Central in Hong Kong; very fiesty! It warms the heart of this Dim Sum Rat. Standouts: Crispy Seaweed - very good on dumplings! Salt pepper soft shell crab Prawn zucchini dumpling Prawn spinach dumpling Steamed chili aubergine Pak Choi with garlic Not so good: Nothing that the Dim sum Rat knows of Service Magnificent! True yum cha. You can also dine quietly in the late afternoon
With Canton Element being walking distance from our hotel, we enjoyed an early dinner twice here. The service was great. Canton Element does not accept reservations but that was not a problem as we dined early twice. Our family loves dim sum and this place exceeded our expectations. We ordered the Salt & Pepper Prawns and the Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab for our starters. I don't normally eat fried food but both options were prepared perfectly. The flavor was amazing. We ordered a mix of dim sum to share. The Prawn & Zucchini Dim Sum, the Prawn & Spinach Dim Sum and the Prawn Hargow Dim Sum were on point. Our family looks forward to returning during our next trip to London.

We came across this restaurant while trying to find someplace to eat on a Sunday night and was fortunate to have some of the best Asian food I've had in a long time. The restaurant was full and had a large number of delivery drivers coming in throughout our stay. They have a £13 dinner special that you can have one appetizer (full sized) and a rice or noodle dish. we had the Vietnamese spring rolls, the grilled pork dumplings, the Singapore stir-fried vermicelli, and the Spicy Sichuan Style Chicken with Egg Fried Rice. All were excellent. Great food at a great price.
Authentic canton food! The dim sum here is fantastic. All the dishes we ordered were top notch. Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu. Must get the lava yolk buns for dessert to end the meal!
I swung by for a warm dinner on a rainy night. The people working were very friendly. I got the Laksa Soup. It was quite good- especially the broth and noodles- and had a little spicy kick which I liked. The place is quite casual and there were a handful of other people eating dinner around 19:00.
To make a long story short, we had 8 people in our party and wanted to share a good chinese meal with them. After reading the reviews, my expectations on service were very low. But to my surprise they were very friendly and provided us with really good service. The food was your typical Cantonese fare, so it was acceptable to us. Can't complaint on quality. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who is craving for dim sum and any other Cantonese dish.
Canton Element not only surpassed my expectation, but they've also got my parents' stamp of approval. We visited London and stayed in Holborn. It was my first time in this neighborhood but I've discovered many culinary gems. Canton Element does not have the typical Asian flair. It appears very Westernized. The tables are ginormous giving every patron more than enough space to chow down. This also limits their number of tables available. So you can expect a wait on a busy night. We ordered the Peking duck, bokchoi, duck and preserved vegetable noodle soup. They were all superb! I definitely wish Canton Element is closer to me so I can come more often. If you are looking for authentic cantonese food, I highly recommend this place!

Reasonable price with 2-courses deal, which includes one tasty dim sum and one delicious main dish. The seats are comfortable and the vibe here are relaxing, different from other Chinese restaurants! Love the restaurant!
